Regions :: China Lanxess and TSRC Open Nitrile Rubber JV Plant in China1:23 AM MDT | May 23, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Lanxess and TSRC Corp. (Taipei) have started up the previously announced joint venture nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) plant at Nantong, China. The companies jointly invested $50 million to build the 50-50 jv plant, which has an initial production capacity of 30,000 m.t./year. About 100 new jobs have been created through the investment, Lanxess says. China is the world’s biggest and fastest-growing NBR market, with a compound annual growth rate of about 10% and demand is above all being driven by the automotive and construction industries, Lanxess says.
