Keyuan to build ABS, SSBR plants as part of expansion plan

Keyuan Petrochemicals (Ningbo, China) has outlined its revised expansion plan. The company says it has begun pre-construction work to build a 400,000-m.t./year acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) unit in Guangxi Province, China and expects to have the first phase completed in the fourth quarter of 2014. Keyuan also plans to build a 150,000-m.t./year solution styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR) unit by end of 2015 and an oil catalytic cracking facility by end of this year.
