Invista receives approval for hexamethylene diamine plant at Shanghai

Invista says it has received environmental impact assessment approval from Shanghai's environmental protection agency for a previously announced 215,000-m.t./year hexamethylene diamine (HMD) plant at the Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park. Invista has fully authorized construction of the plant and expects to commence production in 2015, the company says.
