Henkel to open world’s largest adhesives plant

Henkel says that its previously announced new adhesives factory in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, at Caojing, China, will open in September. Henkel began construction on the 428,000-m.t./year plant in 2011, and when completed, it will be the largest adhesives plant in the world, Henkel says. Henkel announced in 2011 that it is investing €50 million ($65 million) on the project and will employ 600 people at the new facility.
