Evonik starts up organic specialty surfactants facility at Shanghai

Evonik Industries says it has opened a previously announced new production facility for organic specialty surfactants in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, at Caojing. The facility has a production capacity of 80,000 m.t./year, and the investment was in the upper two-digit million-euro range, Evonik says. The facility produces specialty surfactants from renewable resources that are used in personal-care and hygiene products, household cleaning agents, and industrial applications.
