European Commission adopts EU-China solar panel trade agreement

The European Commission has endorsed a price undertaking made by China that has resolved the trade dispute between the European Union and China over EU import prices for solar panels, cells, and wafers originating in China. The compromise, negotiated by EU trade commissioner Karel De Gucht with Chinese officials, was announced last week. The commission says it received almost unanimous support from EU member states for the agreement.
