Dow Chemical Licenses Technology to ChinaCoal for Two PP Plants

Dow has announced an agreement to license its Unipol polypropylene (PP) process technology to China National Coal Group (ChinaCoal; Beijing), to be used in the latter’s coal-to-olefins technology plants. ChinaCoal will use the  technology in two new plants, which will be built at Yulin, Shaanxi province. One unit will be designed to produce 300,000 m.t./year and the other 450,000 m.t./year of PP, under the terms of the deal.
