DSM Breaks Ground on Resins Project in China

DSM says it has begun constructing a €20-million ($29.4-million) waterborne acrylic resins plant at Shunde, China. The plant will be completed during the second quarter of 2008, DSM says. “China currently represents a small, but very promising market for specialty waterborne resins [and] has good expectations for these resins for the industrial wood and metal coatings, as well as for the adhesives and graphic arts markets,” DSM says. The project is part of DSM’s plan to increase its sales in China from $1 billion/year, to $1.5 billion/year...
