DIC to build PPS compounds plant in China

DIC Corp. (Tokyo) says that it has decided to build its first polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) compounds plant in China. The new plant will be located at Zhangjiagang in Jiangsu Province, within the production site of the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, DIC Zhangjiagang Chemicals. The plant will involve an investment of about ¥1.3 billion ($12.7 million), and will have a production capacity of 6,000 m.t./year.
