Chinese firm commissions nylon-6 manufacturing plant

Hangzhou Hangding Nylon Tech has commissioned a nylon-6 plant at the Economic Technical Development Area of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. The facility uses the Uhde Inventa-Fischer virgin lactam process and high-performance nylon-6 additives to produce 47,000 m.t./year of nylon chips for textile grade applications. Uhde Inventa-Fischer says the polymerization reaction is performed in an advanced, proprietary, single-stage VK tube with a nominal capacity of 130 m.t./day.
