The government did not disclose a timeline for the consolidation. The domestic rare earth industry is valued at about Rmb40 billion ($6.35 billion) and the industry consolidation will cover companies in more than 10 provinces in China, the government says. The first large rare earth enterprise in China has already been created in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region by consolidating 14 companies under the Inner Mongolia Baotou...
