Regions :: China China Sets Rare Earth Export Quota for 20129:25 AM MST | December 30, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh The Ministry of Commerce (Mofcom; Beijing) has announced China's first batch of rare earth export quotas for 2012, totaling 25,084 m.t. The announced quotas represent 80% of the full-year quotas for 2012. About 11 companies will share the quotas, of which seven are producers of rare earths and four are distributors. The 11 companies have passed environmental inspections, the government says.
