Chemtura Plans Multi-Purpose Plant in China

Chemtura says it will build a multi-purpose manufacturing plant at Nantong, China as part of a larger strategy to support demand growth in “the world’s most rapidly expanding market.” Other planned investments in the region include technical development centers, joint ventures, and bolt-on acquisitions. The plant will initially focus on the production of urethanes and petroleum additives, but will also make other products in Chemtura’s portfolio.
