Bayer Targets €11-Billion Sales in Asia by 2015

Bayer aims to achieve more than a 60% increase in the company’s sales in Asia by 2015 and expects annual sales in the region to reach €11 billion ($14.78 billion) by 2015, compared with €6.9 billion in 2010, Marijn Dekkers, chairman of the board of management at Bayer, said at a press conference held today at Shanghai, China. Greater China is expected to account for about €6 billion of sales in Asia in 2015. Bayer plans to further expand its production, distribution network and research activities in Asia and the company will make a further capital expenditure of €1.8 billion in Asia by 2015....
