BASF to build crop protection products facility in China

BASF says that it will build a new formulation and packaging plant for crop protection products at Rudong, China. The plant, which will have a production capacity of 10,000 m.t./year, is expected to be fully operational in 2014 and will employ over 100 people. “The site will cover nearly our entire solution portfolio, which will enable us to respond much more quickly and efficiently to growers’ needs in China and Southeast Asia,” says Raman Ramachandran, senior v.p./Asia/Pacific for BASF Crop Protection.
