BASF starts brake fluid production in Shanghai

BASF says it has opened a new brake fluid production unit at Shanghai. The increasing demand for motor vehicles, especially in China, has prompted BASF to manufacture brake fluids at Shanghai, the company says. BASF's Hydraulan range of brake fluids will be produced at the Shanghai production site. The fluid used in a brake system is a high-tech product vital for automotive safety, and this expansion of the company's global production network serves the fast-growing demand for brake fluids in the local market, BASF says.
