BASF and Markor get regulatory approval for BDO and PolyTHF projects in China

BASF and Xinjiang Markor Chemical Industry Co. (Markor; Korla, China) have received approval from the Xinjiang Ministry of Commerce to go ahead with their previously announced joint venture to produce butanediol (BDO) and polytetrahydrofuran (PolyTHF), at Korla in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in Northwest China, BASF says. The two companies signed key cooperation contracts last May for these jv projects. The jv company that will build the BDO plant is called Markor Meiou Chemical Xinjiang Co., and the jv company that will produce PolyTHF is called BASF...
