Arkema forms acrylic acid JV with Jurong Chemical in China

Arkema says that it will form a joint venture called Sunke, with Jurong Chemical (Yancheng, China), the acrylic acid leader in China. Arkema will have a majority stake in the JV, which will comprise the assets of Jurong Chemical’s acrylic acid production site at Taixing, China, which opened in 2012. The Taixing site is China’s leading acrylic acid production site and it has an installed capacity of 320,000 m.t./year, with two world-scale production lines, Arkema says.
