Altana Acquires Assets in China

Altana (Wesel, Germany) says its Elantas Electrical Insulation division has signed a purchase agreement with Changzhou Lantian Ruiqi Chemical Co. (Qianhuang, China) to acquire Changzhou Lantian Ruiqi’s tris-2-hydroxyethyl isocyanurate (theic) business. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Elantas, under the deal, will take over the company's production facilities at Changzhou, China, its technology and employees.
