Air Liquide to Build Carbon Dioxide Recovery Unit in Australia

Air Liquide says it will invest around €10 million to build a carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery unit at Gippsland, Australia. The unit will re-use up to 69,000 m.t. of CO2 from a BassGas natural gas plant and will be commissioned in 2010. The CO2 recovered will be purified, liquefied and recycled for commercial use instead of being directly released into the atmosphere.
