Air Liquide signs gases deal with electronics manufacturer in China

Air Liquide says it has been awarded a major, long-term contract in China by CEC Panda Flat Panel Display Technology Co. to supply ultrapure carrier molecules to Air Liquide's first fab that will manufacture oxide-thin film transistors (TFT) screens for mobile devices and television sets on Generation 8.5–size glass substrates. Air Liquide will invest about €25 million ($34 million) in a large, on-site generator to produce ultrahigh purity nitrogen and required bulk gases and back up infrastructures for CEC Panda’s new fab, which will...
