Hundreds arrested in China over tainted and fake meat

The Chinese government says that 904 people in China were arrested during a 3-month campaign involving meat-related crimes. Police uncovered 382 cases, since 25 January, involving meat-related offenses and seized more than 20,000 tons of illegal products, the government says. Crimes include the use of chemicals while processing products; production of water-injected meat; and the selling of diseased meat and fake mutton from fox, mink, and rat by adding chemicals.
