Showa Denko establishes graphite electrode subsidiary in China

Showa Denko says it has completed the previously announced acquisition of a controlling stake in Sinosteel Sichuan Carbon (Guangyuan, Sichuan Province, China), an integrated manufacturer of graphite electrodes in China.  Following the ratification by related government organizations on 18 March, Showa Denko has made Sichuan Carbon its subsidiary and renaming it as Showa Denko Sichuan Carbon. Showa Denko has a 67% stake in Showa Denko Sichuan Carbon, Sinosteel (Beijing) has a 30% stake, and Tokai Trade Co. has a 3% stake. Showa Denko Sichuan Carbon employs...
