Yara Acquires Remaining Stake in Australian Firm Yara Nipro

Yara International says it has purchased the remaining 60% of shares in Yara Nipro (Brisbane, Australia), a market leader in bulk liquid fertilizers in Eastern Australia, from its founders. Financial terms were not disclosed. Yara purchased a 40% stake in Nipro in January 2008. Yara Nipro represents a business which is complementary to the position held by Yara within the horticultural segment in Australia, and Yara Nipro’s operations will be integrated with that of Yara Australia (Sydney), Yara says.
