Tronox and Exxaro Complete TiO2 Expansion at Australian JV

Tronox and Exxaro Resources (Pretoria, South Africa) say they have expanded titanium dioxide (TiO2) capacity at their Tiwest joint venture plant at Kwinana, Australia. Capacity at the site has increased from 110,000 m.t./year to 150,000 m.t./year, and the plant is expected to ramp-up to planned production levels by mid-2011. “With the continued strong demand for pigment from Asia Pacific, the expansion allows Tiwest to further increase its presence in this fast growing market,” the company...
