Regions :: Australia/New Zealand Sumitomo Completes Acquisition of 20% Stake in Nufarm12:11 AM MDT | April 16, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Agchem firm Nufarm (Melbourne) says that Sumitomo Chemical has completed the previously announced acquisition of 20% of the total issued shares in Nufarm through a tender offer. The tender offer closed on April 9. Nufarm had signed an agreement with Sumitomo last December, to acquire 20% stake in Nufarm for A$14/share via a tender offer. The agreement with Sumitomo followed Nufarm’s termination of discussions with Sinochem (Beijing) last December, for the acquisition of Nufarm by Sinochem.
