Quaker buys out partner in Australian JV

Quaker Chemical (Conshohocken, PA) says that it has acquired the remaining 49% interest in its Australian affiliate, Quaker Chemical Australasia (QCA; Seven Hills, Australia), from its joint venture partner Nuplex Industries (Sydney), for A$8 million (US$7.5 million). QCA sells Quaker products to the metalworking, steel, tube and pipe, and mining industries in Australia and has associates based in various locations around the c ountry.
