Orica appoints new chairman

Orica (Melbourne) says that chairman Peter Duncan will retire at the next annual general meeting, in January 2014, and Russell Caplan has been elected to succeed Duncan as chairman with effect from the same date. Caplan is currently a nonexecutive director of rail freight company Aurizon, formerly QR National, chairman of the Melbourne & Olympic Parks Trust, and chairman of CRC CARE.
