Orica, Yara, and Apache’s $800-Million Ammonium Nitrate Project in Australia Moves Ahead

Orica (Melbourne), Yara International and Apache Energy (Perth, Australia), a subsidiary of Apache Corp. (Houston), say that their previously announced joint ventures to build a 330,000-m.t./year technical ammonium nitrate (TAN) plant at the Burrup Peninsula in Western Australia, and to distribute TAN and other explosives products to mining customers in the Pilbara region in Western Australia, is moving ahead.
