New South Wales EPA Asks Orica to Undertake Safety Tests

Orica (Melbourne) says that the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) of New South Wales (NSW), Australia has asked Orica to undertake a range of safety tests on the company’s Kooragang Island site in NSW, prior to its considering lifting the prevention notices currently in place on the site. The EPA issued the prevention notice to Orica following an ammonia leak from the site earlier this month, and began an investigation into the incident.
