DuPont and Plantic Team Up to Develop Bio-Based Materials

DuPont says it has entered into a partnership with Plantic Technologies (Melbourne) to develop bio-based materials using Plantic’s polymer manufacturing technology. The companies will jointly develop resins and sheet materials derived from cornstarch for applications including cosmetics, personal care, and food packaging. DuPont will also market Plantic’s starch-based sheet materials for trays and rigid packaging applications in North America, and will sell starch-based injection molding resins made with Plantic technology in all markets except...
