Brenntag Acquires Distributor of Specialty Chemicals in Australia and New Zealand

Brenntag says it has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the entire business of the ISM/Salkat Group (Highett, Australia), a leading distributor of specialty chemicals in Australia and New Zealand. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. ISM/Salkat expects to record sales of A$117 million ($120 million) in 2012. The transaction is expected to close this month.
