Regions :: Australia/New Zealand Chinese buyer submits bid for Talison Lithium12:11 PM MST | November 20, 2012 | Vincent Valk Chinese Chengdu Tianqui Industry Group (Tianqi; Tianqi, China) has submitted a C$808 million ($811 million) offer to acquire the remaining shares in Talison Lithium (Perth, Australia). Last week, Tianqi purchased a 15% stake in Talison, and said that it intended to submit a bid to buy the entire company. The bid values Talison at C$7.15/share. It is 10% higher than the merger Talison agreed to with Rockwood in August, which totals C$724 million.
