DuPont closes Pannar acquisition

DuPont's Pioneer Hi-Bred business said today that it has closed the acquisition of a majority stake in Greytown, South Africa, Africa's largest seed firm. The closing comes nearly three years after DuPont announced the deal because of denials by the South African Competition Tribunal. Financial terms have not been disclosed. DuPont says Pioneer and Pannar are partnering to increase the pace and scope of research and innovation in the African seed industry, bringing farmers in South Africa and throughout the continent more product choices and better products...
