AECI aquires Clariant’s water treatment business in Africa

Clariant says it completed the previously announced sale of its water treatment business in Africa to AECI (Johannesburg) on 30 June. AECI acquired the business for 34 million Swiss francs ($38.3 million) in cash at closing. Plans for the deal were first announced in February. Clariant's former water treatment business provides chemicals, services, and engineering solutions to a range of industries, such as mining, automotive, food and beverage, and metals; the business also serves municipalities to ensure the supply of drinking water in many African communities...
