Yara Signs JV Agreement in Libya …

Yara International (Oslo) says it has signed a framework agreement with National Oil Corp. (NOC; Tripoli) and the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA; Tripoli) to establish a fertilizer production joint venture in Libya. The partners signed a heads of agreement last April to study the jv, which will take over NOC’s ammonia and urea plants at Marsa el Brega (CW, May 2, 2007, p. 5).
