Regions :: Africa :: Egypt Indorama Starts Up PET Plant in Nigeria8:46 AM MDT | July 23, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) says its Indorama PET Nigeria (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) subsidiary, on July 19, started up the previously announced 75,000-m.t./year solid state polymerization polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant at Port Harcourt. Plans for the project were first announced in August 2010. This is the first PET investment by Indorama in Africa and it allows the company to establish its foothold in the estimated 450,000-m.t./year PET market in Africa, which currently has only one other PET producer, Indorama...
