KBR to Revamp Nigerian Cracker

KBR has been awarded a contract by Eleme Petrochemicals Co. (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) to revamp the company's 1995-vintage 550,000 m.t./year ethylene plant at Eleme, near Port Harcourt. Eleme is a subsidiary of Indorama Group (Jakarta). The plant was originally built by M.W.Kellogg, now a KBR subisidiary. KBR will provide an extended basic engineering design package for the partial revamp of six Millisecond furnaces to incorporate its Score technology features. The aim of the revamp is to enhance the operating performance and reliability of the existing furnaces...
