Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers drops plans to build fertilizer complex in Ghana

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF; Mumbai) has shelved plans to build a $1-billion fertilizer complex in Ghana because it could not secure gas supplies for the project, Indian reports say. The company planned to build the complex in the Shama district of western Ghana after India and Ghana signed, in 2010, a memorandum of understanding to set up the nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing complex.
