ICL may participate in Ethiopian potash project

Israel Chemicals Ltd. (ICL) has held talks with Allana Potash (Toronto) about the possibility of participating in a potash project in Ethiopia, Haaretz reported on Monday. ICL last week said that it is exploring options to increase its potash output despite the recent turmoil in the global potash markets.   Allana CEO Farhad Abasov met with ICL management at Tel Aviv recently to seek ICL's participation in the construction of a mine at the Dallol site in Denakhil Valley, in northeast Ethiopia, the newspaper says.
