Regions :: Africa Albemarle JV to Double Bromine Capacity in Jordan10:14 AM MST | March 11, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Albemarle says its Jordan Bromine (Amman) joint venture with Arab Potash (Amman) will double the capacity of its bromine production at Safi, Jordan, to meet expanding global demand. Jordan Bromine will also increase the capacity of bromine derivatives and the size of its bromine tank fleet. Expansion is expected to begin by mid-2011 with initial bromine production capacity projected to come online in 2012, Albemarle says. “This significant increase in bromine capacity is needed to meet growing global demand for our bromine and bromine derivatives,”...
