Nigerian Firm Signs Deal with Mitsubishi for New Ammonia-Urea Complex

Notore Chemical Industries (Notore; Lagos) has signed a joint venture agreement with Mitsubishi Corporation to develop an ammonia and urea complex at its Onne, Nigeria site. Notore owns the only urea fertilizer plant in sub-Saharan Africa, also located at Onne.   The project will involve the construction of an integrated plant complex with production capacities for 1,700 m.t./day of ammonia, 3,000 m.t./day of urea and 1,500 m.t./day of other, unspecified petrochemicals.   The partners have also signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI...
