Spot prices for para-xylene plunged $200/m.t. in the U.S. and $250/m.t. in Europe. The June contract in Europe was settled lower by €140/m.t. Ortho-xylene saw a more modest decline, with a June settlement in the U.S. off by 5 cts/lb and in Europe down by €20/m.t. Spot number were lower by 5 cts/lb in the U.S. and $190/m.t. in Europe.
