![]() Polyolefins Prices Firm in U.S. and Europe1:06 PM MST | February 8, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Polyolefins prices continue to firm, but very unevenly, players say. In particular buyers say North American sellers have overpriced their market. Sellers counter that they are just recouping the sharp losses they suffered at the end of last year. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) for export was quoted higher by $40/m.t. in North America and by $60/m.t. in Europe. Linear LDPE was said to have moved up $70-90/m.t. between the two regions.
