![]() Polymers Prices Fall on Both Sides of the Atlantic10:06 AM MDT | June 15, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Buyers ruled polymer markets over the first half of June with both spot and contract prices lower almost across the board, sometimes sharply so. The biggest declines were reported in European spot prices for high-density polyethylene (HDPE) down $200/m.t. and polypropylene, down $240/m.t. for homo-injection grade and $340/m.t. for copolymer material. Low-density and linear low-density PE were off by $110-160/m.t. while polystyrene (PS) held losses to $50-85/m.t.
