Polymer Prices on the Rise in U.S. and Europe

Polyolefins secured solid gains in both contract negotiations and in export markets on both sides of the Atlantic, players say. In January settlements, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) scored the biggest gains in North America, rising 7 cts/lb. Co-polymer polypropylene (PP) added 6 cts/lb, while homo-polymer gained 4 cts/lb.
