![]() Olefins and Aromatics Prices Decline in Asia12:11 PM MDT | June 24, 2011 | Lindsey Bewley Ethylene price levels moved further south from USD 1120-1130 to USD 1050-1060. Markets are fluctuating as ethylene prices are expected to bounce back in the coming weeks, as Shell Chemicals is expected to shut down its 800,000 m.t./year naphtha-fed stream cracker at Singapore in August. Further shutdowns are expected to start in China next month. Naphtha fell from USD 980.00- 982.0 to USD 930.0-932.0. as there is ample supply and the derivative demand is low.
