Olefins Prices Ease in North America and Europe

On the heels of grim economic news out of Europe, and no end in sight to the Greek debt crisis, commodity markets tumbled this week, oil and chemicals included. Spot naphtha in northwest Europe slid $35/m.t. in line with lower prices for crude, and spot olefins continued their declines, players report. Ethylene gave up €30/m.t. while propylene retreated €40/m.t.
