Intermediates Move Higher in U.S., Europe

Most intermediate contract prices were settled this week, with the notable exception of the usual laggard, U.S. para-xylene. U.S. ortho- was agreed at an increase of 2 cts/lb, players say. Both European isomers were done with pX taking a big leap higher of €123/m.t. and oX moving higher more modestly by €35/m.t., market watchers report.
