U.S. para-xylene led the way, climbing $230/m.t. while European pX kept pace with an increase of $200/m.t. Ortho-xylene in the U.S. was stronger by 6 cts/lb, sellers report, while oX in Europe rose a proportional $140/m.t. Contract increases were more modest, with U.S. pX edging higher by 0.75 cts/lb for April while oX was agreed higher by 4 cts/lb.
